Excellence in Practice
Awarded by her peers, Mim received the Excellence in Practice award at the 2017 Bioceuticals Integrative Medicine Awards, in the same year was also created a Fellow of the Naturopaths & Herbalists Association of Australia.
In the early 1990’s, when Mim was a regular presenter on ABC radio’s JJJ, she was approached to participate in a short Buteyko course. Knowing this breathing technique had proven benefits for asthma, and as a sufferer of this condition, Mim completed this course, and never had asthma again. In 2011 Mim undertook a Buteyko Practitioner Training course in Los Angeles with world leading Buteyko Practitioner, Patrick McKeown. During this training, Mim discovered how breathing is pivotal to health, and how, by retraining one’s breathing back to ‘normal’ you can achieve extraordinary results. Improving not only conditions such as asthma and sinusitis, but helping with anxiety, reflux and IBS, also reducing snoring and sleep apnoea. This simple technique has changed Mim’s life and the way she practices naturopathy.
Mim is a Fellow of Buteyko Professionals International and is the Lifestyle and Nutrition Advisor to Buteyko Professionals International.
